The holy fluency

As most of people with stammer do, I always work on my speech; the speech development is a non stop progress in my life; every time and a while I discover a new technique and stick to it until my brain gets the trick and refuses it.
One of the things that have always impressed me is reading the Qura’an; reading the Qura`an properly taking in consideration all of it’s TAJWEED signs (embellishment) is like using all of the techniques I have discovered and learned during my life; hence, I never stammer when reading the Qura’an loudly.
Related memory:
Seven or eight years old I might have been when I first read Surah Taha; it is when I came across “قال رب اشرح لي صدري و يسر لي أمري و احلل عقدة من لساني يفقهوا قولي” (”(Moses) said:O my Lord! Expand me my breast; Ease my task for me; and remove the impediment from my speech, so they may understand what I say”). I got attached to it; and for some reason I thought it was meant for me; and that God have placed in the Quraan for me to encounter some day and take; I repeated it every day after every prayer and in every sajda (genuflection) and still do.
I remember during my teen years, I used to repeat it more frequently than I ever did; I remember weeping on my pillow and saying it again and again until I fall a sleep. Hard years they were.

By the way; I replied to your “Islam Attack” post, but for some reason it only says there are 34 comments, when in fact mine is the 35th.

Since a7eb il tefelsef, i will hold my self from explaining this thing in my twisted scientific brain.. and will tell you one point:
i believe Quraan is the best healer in the world, even better than the energy healing power.

Quraan is a soul healer indeed; still I don’t believe that it heals physical diseases; it heals the psychological side of a human not the physical side. As for stammer it shows me the techniques by the way it is read.

you have to believe that Qur’an heals physical diseases too! everyone has to!
fee adilla wath7a both in Qur’an and a7adeeth ina el Qur’an alkareem yashfee min kil el amrath

show them to me when we meet ! I might change my mind
February 12th, 2007 at 9:36 am
hathee mafeeha change ur mind! it is a fact kil el 3olama’a etafqaw 3aleha!
We might not use it, but we should believe that its true.

Ok but this doesn’t say anything about physical healing; I believe that Honey is a cure for many diseases because it did save my brother from death yet I believe that Quraan heals psychological diseases and which has a big deal in healing the physical disease yet not directly.
If you have something that would show me that I’m wrong and should change my mind; please do show me.

“doesn’t say anything about physical healing” !!!
well …
February 12th, 2007 at 10:06 am
I did do a research on that before, when my brother was ill (I guess you remember those months; the same period when N died); and will do another research when I finish tidying the library because the books are still in boxes! So hopefully will do it when our moving is completed!
And will let you know.

You reminded me of my dad. He had a speech problem as a kid and at school kids laughed at him. But sometimes he used it to his own advantage lol.
He doesn’t stutter anymore only occasionally and I think his stuttering stopped by age 20. He told me that whenever he got stuck he’d try to think of another alternative word to replace it.
Never give up hope.

Hope will remain as long as I live
thank you Um Hassan
