Munchkin

The new member of our family, my nephew, he is already five months old and has all the symptoms of cuteness. He is an adorable smiley little kid that already has his own personality, such as not sleeping without his stuffed toy which is a donkey wearing a gazelle costume.

Shopping

I went shopping twice during this month once to assist ra-1 in buying white shoes, the second was to buy Eid gifts for my family and ra-1 was my assistant this time. And those two times were enough to discover what a clumsy driver I have.

You already know how much I love it

عيدكم مبارك

This Ramadan Boodi (My 8 Y/O brother) should fast till sunset on weekends and until he’s back from school on school days.

Day 1 (school day)

Boodi is back from school

Mum: “Hi dear so you’re fasting today”
Boodi: “No I had to drink water after the PE class, because my teacher forced me to run around the play ground three times”
Mum: “And why would she do that?”
Boodi: “Because I went to drink water without asking her first”
Mum : !!!

Day 2 (weekend)

Boodi is watching TV with my sis, where an advertisement of food was showing

Boodi: “ما يجووووووووووووز”
Siso: “why ما يجوز”
Boodi: “Because my father doesn’t allow me to say حرام”
Siso: “Okay and what is it that ما يجوز”
Boodi: “Showing food on TV while we are fasting”

And then he starts talking about food and without noticing he takes the mixed nuts bowl from the table and starts munching!

Day 3 (weekend)

Boodi fasts the whole day and when it’s time for تراويح prayers my father asked him to join them.

Boodi: “How much ركعات”
Loosh: “11 ركعات”
Boodi:”Oh that’s too much I’m not going”
Dad: “Yes you are! Go wear a Dishdahsa”
Boodi: “Why can’t I go wearing this?”
he was wearing a pear a short jeans and a sleeveless shirt
Dad: “It isn’t appropriate”

Boodi went and wore a Dishdasha but what caught my attention while they were heading out were his Crocs! They look hideous with a Dishdasha!

Baby boy

Last week my baby sister delivered a baby boy. I got so attached to him even more than my niece Shooka. I know that I like girls more and I can’t handle boys but this boy is so different ياكل القلب فديته

The other thing is that my baby sister is a mother and I’m not; do I feel jealous? Yes I do, still I’m happy for her. I get this weird feeling in my chest when seeing her feeding him; I don’t know how to describe it.

Trust worthy

 It’s strange how I managed to develop a strong friendship on line and how it seems that we know each other for ages; we share something that no other can share with us; the feelings, the struggle, the anger; all the same and for the same reason.

A different person

During the couple (nearly three) of years of blogging I have changed; I think developed would be a better word; to a better or worse person I’m not sure but I do feel much better for sure.

Friend ship

الدنيا ما تسوى من غيرج

Yesterday I and my best friends Ra-1 and H went to our favorite place to have a late lunch!! Or was it an early dinner? Well I’m not sure!!

Ra-1 as usual was hungry; we ordered and Ra-1 kept asking “Yallah when will they bring my food” with her usual puppy nearly crying face expression; the food arrived and she started digging in; while me and H were having an enjoying conversation, it’s when H noticed that Ra-1 wasn’t listening, she asked her “Ra-1 what do you think?” Ra-1 said “I am not listening to you am busy eating; you talk to her (pointing at me)”!!!

We finished eating and H started talking about a documentary she watched recently and was very emotional that her eyes were teary while Ra-1 was busy searching in her purse for something, I’m not sure what was it; and suddenly Ra-1 shouts “Allaaaaaaaah look what I found here” with a big smile on her face holding a candy in her hand; H gave her the “I will kill you” look she didn’t even bother to look to H’s direction, she ate the candy and started searching in her purse again!

I went home after that and started uploading some photos in my flickr account; I found a photo that I took on August 2006 of another disappearing couple (yes other than those and those)

I have a strong feeling that what Ra-1 was searching for in her purse has to do with the disappearing mystery !

They talk and laugh while my thoughts are away from it all; only you will know that I’m not here. Suddenly my eyes meet yours and we stretch a smile that says

“I love you”
“I love you more”

Dear Father;

I have never witnessed a love as mine to you; I don’t believe that any person will deserve the love I have for you.

They say a husband and a child of mine will definitely come first then you.

No way; no way will a person make my heart bounce as you do; it’s your appearance from behind that door, it’s your smile, it’s the way you make me laugh when sorrow makes nothing to laugh at.
